Little ones enjoy a day of science and discovery
STEM Week at the Creative Academy School of Excellence was a thrilling exploration of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
The school recently celebrated an exciting and action-packed STEM Week, where learners immersed themselves in the fascinating worlds of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
The week’s design was to spark curiosity and inspire future innovators through hands-on learning experiences and interactive activities.
The week’s highlight was the visit from Mini Science Lab, a team of experts who brought science to life with thrilling demonstrations.
“Our learners could witness real smoke bombs, chemical reactions, and a range of other mind-blowing experiments. The room buzzed with excitement as the young minds got exposed to the wonders of science in a fun and engaging way,” said principal Tyla-Jade Botha.
Besides the experiments, STEM Week served as a reminder about the importance of safety. Teachers and science experts emphasised while exploring the wonders of science can be thrilling, their safety should always come first.
Children learnt the essential safety measures for conducting experiments, ensuring fun never compromises their well-being.
“It was the best week. I loved seeing real fire in class,” said Liam Marais.
At the end of STEM Week, it left the Creative Academy School of Excellence buzzing with enthusiasm and curiosity, reminding everyone that learning can be educational and fun.
