Sky City Mall officially opens its doors

New shopping convenience for Alberton residents.

SKY City Mall officially opened its doors on April 18, welcoming shoppers to the 12 500m² shopping centre.

GMI Property Group, in association with Cosmopolitan Projects, worked to build this new development. The mall is situated at the intersection of R550 Heidelberg Road and K91 Vereeniging. Sky City development will eventually grow to 32 000m².

Sky City Mall offers retail pleasure with 50 shops in place. Other convenience factors are its 660 free parking bays and easy access off the R550 and K91, linking the N3 and R59, keeping travel distances short and saving time for busy shoppers.

The mall is anchored by Shoprite and Cashbuild, supported by other store, including OBC, Pep, Jet, Ackermans, KFC, McDonald’s, Debonairs and an Engen filling station.

The centre will service 182 000 people in the catchment area, providing a variety of substantial retail options to customers. The development will uplift the neighbouring nodes, such as Palm Ridge, Eden Park and Garthdale, bringing considerable growth to these communities, including work opportunities.
