EKURHULENI: Councillor Bruna Haipel reveals Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality’s (EMM) frequent little mishaps.
First in line was the R5.70 levy charge which was found to be illegal as it was never approved in the budget. Residents will now be refunded, although nobody has information on when or how these residents will be refunded.
Second in line was an expired date to give comment. Residents received a pamphlet on “Know your Zone” in which they could give comment on different land uses and the environment.
Residents could give comment as from July 31 and they had 28 days in which they could do so. This was a pamphlet received in the August water and lights accounts.
