Altech NuPay gives to charity

Three organizations received a hefty fee from Altech NuPay with funds raised at their annual gold day.

MEYERSDAL – Altech NuPay Annual Golf Day, held at the Pecanwood Golf Club, had the pleasure of hosting 140 golfers on May 21… donating to three organizations.

Organizers decided to provide multiple activities and auctions in order to raise money to three lucky organizations. One of the main events was the “NuPay Casino” where attendees could purchase chips and tempt lady luck at the roulette tables. By purchasing chips, patrons also qualified for tickets into the draw for the main prize. After the huge success of last year’s prize, it was decided to put a Nespresso Coffee machine up as a prize. Other prizes included a generator for the “Drive for Charity”, wine coolers, tool kits, patio heaters and many more.

Altech NuPay decided to again support the Abraham Kriel Childcare Centre, Alberton SPCA as well as the South Africa Guide Dog Association. Altech NuPay has been involved with all three charities for a number of years, especially the Abraham Kriel Childcare Centre.

The attendees also had the pleasure of meeting one of the young people from the Abraham Kriel Childcare Centre. After a successful day on the course everyone gathered in the clubhouse for a few drinks, a hot meal and more roulette…

Each golfer also received a personalized magazine with their photo on the cover. Everybody loved this and many have already started making plans to have theirs framed.

Through everyone’s participation and contributions Altech NuPay raised over R180 000. All funds raised were donated to the Abraham Kriel Kindersorg / Child Care, Alberton SPCA and the Guide Dog Association of SA on October 16.

“Making a difference in our community has always been a passion and priority for Altech NuPay. With the continued support we have received over the past 10 years, we have been able to make a sustainable difference in the lives of the over 600 children currently living at the Abraham Kriel Kindersorg/Children’s Home, assist the Alberton SPCA in their continued plight in the prevention of cruelty to animals as well as the assistance in training young puppies to become guide dogs and change the lives of those who do not have the benefit of sight. Thank you for making the Altech NuPay Annual Golf Day a roaring success once again,” said staff from Altech NuPay.

They would like to thank all the personnel at the Pecanwood Golf Club for their assistance on the day in helping to set-up, tallying scores and making sure everything ran smooth on the course.
