SPCA needs volunteers

Volunteers are urgently needed to assist Alberton SPCA with outreach programmes in Thokoza

VOLUNTEERS are urgently needed to assist the Alberton SPCA with outreach projects.

Alberton SPCA is holding a community outreach program on Saturday, May 21, in Thokoza, where they will be handing out food, blankets, collars and bowls to the community animals, as well as vaccinating and assessing their general health.

In addition, on Tuesday, May 31, they will be holding a sterilisation day, again in Thokoza, to help reduce the number of litters and unwanted animals. Both of these events require a lot of help and and the SPCA is asking for volunteers to join and assist them on either one, or both days.

Volunteers need to be over 16 years of age and willing to assist where needed. If you are able to help, please email fundraising@spcaalberton.org.za or call 011 907 1568. The more volunteers sign up to assist, the more animals the SPCA can help.

Alberton SPCA is also still asking for donations of food, collars, blankets and bowls, which can be dropped off at the SPCA in Lincoln Road, General Alberts Park. They also wish to thank their supporters for the fantastic response they have received so far. The SPCA cannot do this without the community’s assistance and really appreciate the support from residents.
