The police have launched a manhunt for three suspects in connection with a business robbery at Clicks at 2nd Avenue and Douche Street, Verwoerdpark.
According to Capt Manara Ramotshela, spokesperson for Alberton SAPS, it is alleged that on May 26, one of the personnel working in a nearby shop phoned the security officials, informing him of the crime being committed in their shop.
The security guard on duty was attacked by the robbers, leaving him with severe injuries on his head. The suspects then managed to gain entry and took some items from the shop.
No arrests have been made.
“A case of business robbery has been registered in Alberton. We are appealing to members of our community to come forward with any information which can assist in the arrest of these criminals,” said Ramotshela.
