Narcotics seized in Thokoza

The suspect was taken to Thokoza SAPS.

During an anti-drug operation in the Thokoza area on February 2, EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit officers arrested a man for being in possession of a variety of narcotics.

According to EMPD spokesperson Kobeli Mokheseng, the suspect was stopped and searched around along Ngubeni Street.

“Officers uncovered 25 quarter and full mandrax tablets, 11 ziplocks of dagga, two ziplocks of khat, two ziplocks of crystal meth valued at R2 500 and R110 cash,” said Mokheseng.

The suspect was taken to Thokoza SAPS. He is facing charges of possession of and possibly dealing in illicit substances.

The apprehended suspect is expected to appear in the Palmridge Magistrate’s Court soon.
