Yellow ribbons in Alberton represent hope – What a great initiative

Thank you, Tannie A and all your volunteers.

Yet again, our special Tannie A (Antionette Venter) has done something truly amazing, and we would love all Alberton residents to be a part of this initiative.

As South Africans, we are facing so many challenges with Covid-19, unemployment, the recent rioting and looting. And sadly, a lot of us are losing hope and we want to bring it back into everyone’s lives.

The colour yellow means hope and Tannie A has made it her mission to get a yellow ribbon tied on every tree along Alberton roads so that as we drive and see the yellow ribbons, it will make us smile and bring hope back into our community.

When we started clothing some of the trees, people stopped to ask us what we were doing and what it represented.

Should anyone wish to donate a yellow florist ribbon to Tannie A or would like to volunteer to help put the ribbons up, contact Tannie A on 084 812 6715.

Let us bring hope back.
