Alberton High School stood proud as it achieved a 100% pass rate for its Class of 2021.
The school has been previously crowned as the best academic school in the district.
It is now reported to be the only public school in the City of Ekurhuleni to attain such a pass rate with 200 distinctions. At least 75% of learners qualified for a bachelor’s degree pass, with 23% qualifying for national diplomas.
Jannie Olivier, principal at the school, said: “We are proud of the learners and the teachers. It was hard work and it was an effort from both the teachers and the learners to achieve the pass rate. The hard work had already started in Grade Eight for the learners.”
The cream of the school included Erica Alberts, Ishevakudzwe Chiholog, Nichola de Gouveia, Jade Conradie and Pravir Padayachee.
