City announces healthcare services to be offered on booking system
The City of Ekurhuleni has announced that auxiliary healthcare services, such as dentistry and optometry, are offered on a booking system in addition to primary healthcare.
The City of Ekurhuleni provides, in addition to primary healthcare (PHC), auxiliary services, such as dentistry and nutrition services, in selected facilities.
The auxiliary services are provided at selected facilities and in a sessional manner because they are reportedly provided with the assistance of Gauteng Department of Health officials who are deployed in limited numbers.
Members of the public who visit facilities that do not provide these services, according to CoE’s spokesperson Zweli Dlamini, will be referred to the nearest facility for further treatment.
Head of department for health and social services Dr Gilbert Motlatla explained how the services are offered to the public.
“Health services, such as dentistry, optometry, podiatry and nutritionist, are offered by Gauteng Department of Health officials.
