City’s license centres are open

The City of Ekurhuleni continues to render services in all its licencing centres (DLTC) despite the demonstration by the Gauteng driving schools.

According to Zweli Dlamini, the City’s spokesperson, as a precautionary measure, EMPD members are on high alert and are monitoring the ongoing protest in order to ensure peace and order should the need arise.

“Residents who had scheduled appointments for today but cannot honour those appointments due to the ongoing demonstrations will be contacted from their nearest testing centres advising them on a rescheduled appointment,” he said.

The City continues to monitor the situation.
