Alberton Camera Club February winners
Alberton Camera Club announced the winners of their February meeting.
The overall best junior image was taken by Louis Mouton, a three-star photographer. The winning photo was titled Stella. This photo was also named the best theme junior image.
The overall best senior image was taken by Ben Botha, a seven-star photographer. His photo, Open Mouth, was declared the best overall senior photo, and it won the open colour senior image category.
Louis Mouton’s photos, Natascha and Behind the Shed, were also declared the best junior mono image and open colour, respectively. Peli and Natural light by Ben Botha were the best images in the senior mono and senior theme image categories.
The best images in the junior and senior images in the Wildlife and Nature category were Kruger Dog by Lefoke Steward Masweneng, a two-star photographer, and Catch of the Morning by Vinesh Kara, a four-star photographer.
Alberton Camera Club welcomes beginners to the expert photographers, both the young and the not so young.
The club meets on the first Tuesday of every month for Shutter Chat, where they learn more about photography, and the third Tuesday of every month for judging evening.
Because of Covid restrictions, the club meetings are held via Zoom. We form part of the Southern Gauteng Region and the club is a member of the Photographic Society of SA (PSSA).
