Ward 38 invited to give input on draft IDP

Residents of Brackenhurst and Brackendowns are invited to have their say on the draft IDP to be held on April 7.

Residents of Brackenhurst and Brackendowns are invited to take part in giving their input on the proposed draft budget.

This follows a council decision that was taken during a meeting held on March 31 to subject the draft budget for public participation.

The draft budget and Integrated Development Plan (IDP) will entail details of the total budget of the City, as well as how much budget has been allocated to each ward.

Also included, Ward 38 councillor Malcolm Maifala-Masebe said, will be the proposed tariff increases for various services provided by the municipality.

“The public consultation meeting will be chaired by MMC for Finance Graham Gersbach. It will be held on April 7 at the Alberton Civic Centre Council chambers at 18:00. Residents will be given an opportunity to share their views regarding the proposed draft budget at the meeting,” he said.

For more information regarding the meeting, contact Maifala-Masebe on 061 540 4973 or at malcolm.maifala@ekurhuleni.gov.za
