Making Alberton safer

CPS Security has installed licence plate recognition cameras at specific intersections.

“We are excited to announce the start of the Vumacam project in our surrounding areas,” said Tyrone van der Merwe, sales director of CPS Security.

Residents will notice that several poles with CCTV cameras have gone up at specific intersections.

“Cameras are fibre-connected to Vumacam’s advanced data centre and the feed is streamed in real-time to our control room.”

This was all funded by CPS Security with the permission of the council to fight crime.

CPS Security teamed up with Vumacam to make Alberton safer.

“If a vehicle passes one of our cameras that raises suspicion, our control room will be alerted and we will immediately send out a unit to investigate.”

Van der Merwe said businesses and residents are welcome to be part of the project so that more cameras can be installed.
