More developmental programmes are in the pipeline, which will culminate in Miss Rosettenville.

Active Youngings Foundation (AYF) hosted a developmental programme, which was set to empower and encourage the youth as the year begins with career choices at The Chow, Rosettenville on February 26.

The name of event was called ‘Battle of the Agencies’ themed ‘Girl Child Empowerment’. The winner, New Breed Modelling Agency competed with other young designers who make clothes and sell them. “We are still calling all young women and men to join hands as stakeholders, business people, to support the initiation of AYF. Let’s get our youth on the developmental programme as we are fully on the road to Miss Rosettenville.

“With our chairperson, Carol Imbokodo we would like to thank the leadership that was present at the event, from Ward 124 Clr Mongameli Mnyameni, the local leaders Simphiwe Hlafa, Thomas Lebea, local artist C4 The Performing Artist and Percy Ngema Indlamlenze, aka Kingxpercy The Igwe.

“We are further calling the community at large to support us when we host mental illness awareness programmes through creatives where we will invite different young women in the art sector, doctors and more stakeholders as we see the biggest challenge on the girl child’s is mental health illness, which wants to destroy the youth,” he said.
