Youth Arise takes the Gospel to the streets

Believers from different ministries joined hands in Eden Park to walk, pray, and proclaim the message of salvation with Youth Arise.

On September 6, Youth Arise took to the streets of Eden Park with a powerful Street Evangelism and Prayer Walk, marked by fellowship, outreach, and a strong sense of the presence of the Holy Spirit.

The event brought together believers united in their love for Jesus and their mission to help others experience His love.

As participants walked through the community, they engaged with residents, prayed openly, and shared the Gospel message with warmth and compassion.

Organisers explained that the purpose of such gatherings is not only to spread the Word but also to see lives restored and communities transformed.

“As we continue to walk in obedience and truth, we pray for strength and courage to endure with this movement so that more souls can be saved through the will of God,” Youth Arise shared.

The initiative was warmly received by the Eden Park community. Many residents stopped to listen to the Gospel message and invited the team to pray with them right there in the streets.

According to Naville Geduld, one of the leaders of Youth Arise, the event united believers from six to seven different ministries in the area.

“Street evangelism reaches people who don’t normally attend church services. As the body of Christ, it’s part of our mission to go into the world and preach the Gospel,” said Geduld.

The outreach has already led to new converts, who are being connected with local churches for discipleship.

In addition, plans are underway to host training programmes on discipleship and evangelism to equip more young believers to share their faith effectively.

While the group acknowledges that rejection and ridicule are common challenges for street preachers, they remain committed to perseverance through prayer.

“Our response is to persevere through prayer and to get more youth groups and communities involved,” Geduld explained.

“We know we carry the truth that can change lives.”

Youth Arise is inviting other youth groups from different communities to join the movement.

Looking ahead, the group has committed to hosting more prayer walks, open-air services, and youth revival gatherings as they continue their mission to see lives and communities transformed by the Gospel.
