SACDG invites community to decorate with roses
Local baking enthusiasts are invited to a hands-on SACDG session on April 7, where creativity blooms through rose-themed cake decorating in a welcoming, skill-building environment.
Baking enthusiasts from across the community are encouraged to mark April 7 on their calendars as the South African Cake Decorators Guild (SACDG), Alberton Gladiola Botha Branch, hosts a rose-themed cake decorating session aimed at inspiring creativity and honing practical skills.
The themed session, centred on elegant rose designs, promises to offer both beginners and experienced decorators the opportunity to refine their skills in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Participants will explore fondant techniques and artistic styling, building on the guild’s ongoing commitment to nurturing talent within the community.
The invitation follows the branch’s recent Easter Egg Workshop initiative, which encouraged hands-on learning and creative expression through themed fondant modelling.
SACDG, established as an NPO in 1976, continues to play a key role in promoting cake decorating as both a profession and an accessible creative outlet across South Africa.
The session will be held at Alberton Retirement Village, 45 Kritzinger Road, Florentia, a venue that now serves as a hub for demonstrations, training and community gatherings.
Residents interested in attending or securing a place, contact Bella Marques on 083 709 2529 or Charmaine van Schalkwyk on 072 291 7474.
