Alberton SAPS nabs alleged fraudsters

Five suspects are behind bars after attempting to fraudulently withdraw money on February 24.

The Alberton SAPS managed to detain five suspects recently.

The suspects, aged 28 to 48, wanted to fraudulently withdraw a large sum of money from one of the financial institutions in the Alberton SAPS precinct.

Members of the Alberton SAPS nabbed the suspects when they were trying their luck to withdraw the money from the institution.

“The suspects are expected to appear in court soon to face their charges. The vehicle used by these five suspects was taken in. A case of fraud is currently being investigated by one of our members,” said Captain Manare Ramotshela of the Alberton SAPS.

The Alberton SAPS station commander welcomed the arrest and commended the members for a job well done.
