2 men arrested for theft in Alberton North
CPS Security together with Alberton SAPS arrested two men after spotting them standing suspiciously in front of a local business. Later , it was discovered that they had committed a theft offence an evening before they were spotted on August 23.
Two men were arrested for possession of house break-in implements after being spotted in front of a local business’s gate in the early hours of August 23 in Van Riebeeck Street.
According to the director of CPS Security, Tyrone van der Merwe, their response officers approached the two males. They were found in possession of tools for stealing gate motors and tools for breaking into houses.
Alberton SAPS were called in to help.

“Shortly after, another security company approached our members and showed us video footage of the same suspects stealing a gate motor from different premises early that evening,” said Van der Merwe.

The suspects were transported to Alberton SAPS and a case was opened against them.
