Fleeing Brackenhurst house robber arrested in Randhart
Law enforcement agencies are on the lookout for the other suspects who are on the run after the incident.
A suspect has been arrested on Malherbe Street in Brackenhurst this Thursday morning.
According to the director of CPS Security, Tyrone van der Merwe, a message was received via a community WhatsApp group for a house robbery that was taking place.
“Three suspects had gained entry into a home whilst the owners were at the premises,” he said.
Tyrone said the suspects fled once they noticed the home-owners.
“One suspect was apprehended in the Randhart area after he was spotted running on foot by one of our reaction units,” said Tyrone.
CPS Security would like to thank the resident who provided them with video footage which assisted in the apprehension.
Brackendowns SAPS were contacted and a case has been opened.
