2 suspects arrested in Alberton North while trying to steal a vehicle
The suspects were caught in the act; one suspect was found inside the vehicle and the second suspect was found below the vehicle seemingly tampering with it.
The cold early hours of June 27 saw two suspects caught in the act while attempting to steal a vehicle from an apartment complex parking lot in Alberton North.
Fox Security officers were alerted to the scene.
“Information was received from a complex in the Alberton North area that two suspects had entered the premises in the early hours of this morning. Our Fox Reaction Units responded and found one suspect inside the vehicle, attempting to steal it, and the other underneath the vehicle,” said Fox Security in a statement.
Vehicle break-in implements were reportedly found in the suspects’ possession.
Both suspects were apprehended on the spot, and Alberton SAPS was called to the scene.
They were arrested and are currently being held in Alberton SAPS’ holding cells.
Fox Security praised the resident who reported the suspicious activity.
“Well done to the resident for informing us,” the company said.
