47 undocumented foreign nationals arrested across Ekurhuleni

A week-long crackdown by EMPD in identified hotspots led to multiple detentions as authorities intensify efforts to enforce immigration regulations in the CoE.

EMPD Specialised Services Units officers arrested 47 undocumented foreign nationals across the city between February 9 and 15.

The arrests were part of targeted operations in hotspots, aimed at addressing the growing number of undocumented individuals in Ekurhuleni.

All suspects were unable to produce valid passports or identification. Immigration services will further verify their status.
