Fox Security, Brackendowns CPF nab 2 cable theft suspects in Brackenhurst
Two suspects were arrested while allegedly cutting cables in Brackenhurst after a swift response by Fox Security and a Brackendowns CPF patrol.
Two suspects have been arrested for alleged cable theft in Brackenhurst following a swift response by Fox Security and the Brackendowns CPF.
According to Fox Security’s director Francois Jansen, members of its tactical unit were conducting a routine patrol in the area when they spotted two individuals allegedly cutting cables.
When the suspects noticed the patrol vehicle, they attempted to flee, but were quickly apprehended by a responding Fox Security member.
During the arrest, a member of the Brackendowns CPF, who was also patrolling in the area, noticed the situation and immediately stopped to assist.
Fox Security thanked the Brackendowns CPF member for the quick response and support during the incident, highlighting the importance of cooperation between private security and community safety structures.
Both suspects were detained and handed over to Brackendowns SAPS for further processing.
Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
Security officials praised the teamwork and vigilance shown by Fox Security and the Brackendowns CPF, noting that collaboration between private security and community patrol groups is vital to keeping neighbourhoods safer.
