Double fatal shooting in Thokoza leaves woman injured, no arrests yet
Two men were shot dead and a woman injured in a brazen attack on Sekese Street, with police yet to make any arrests as investigations continue.
SAPS have confirmed that no arrests have yet been made following a fatal shooting in Thokoza, where two men were killed, and a woman was left injured.
The incident took place on Sekese Street, not so far from Thokoza Library, where the two male victims had parked their vehicle outside a residential property.
It is understood that one of the men was visiting the mother of his child at the time of the attack.
According to preliminary reports, a white Nissan Almera pulled up alongside the victims’ vehicle. Two unidentified suspects allegedly exited the car and opened fire, striking all three individuals.
SAPS confirmed that both male victims sustained fatal gunshot wounds and were declared dead at the scene.
The female victim, believed to be the girlfriend of one of the deceased, was wounded in the shooting and transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident and are appealing to anyone with information that could assist in identifying the suspects to come forward.
The motive for the attack remains unknown at this stage.
