Mr and Miss Alberton crown titleholders of 2022
The Mr and Miss Alberton took place on October 16 where winners were crowned at Bracken Park Community Hall.
Entrants’ journey started in May when they had several events including the sashing ceremony, which happened at the Farmhouse Restaurant where their top 30 finalists were chosen.
According to the Mr and Miss Alberton’s mentor, Karabo Maepane, during the journey they had several workshops where they aimed to improve the finalists’ public speaking, walking, and presentation skills.
“The top 30 finalists gave back to the community through charity work throughout Alberton and other parts of South Africa,” said Maepane.
Miss Alberton 2022 is Shannon French, with the second princess being Withley Smith and Nirvaghanee Pillay crowned the first princess.
Muzi Sithole was crowned Mr Alberton 2022. The second prince is Nathi Nkosi and the first prince is Ndjibu Kitenge.
Miss Alberton Curve 2022 is Alwande Letlape. The second princess is Kamohelo Thithi and Ntombi Flatela was crowned the first princess.
Miss Alberton Teen 2022 second princess Zanelle Huyzers, first princess Karabo Madumo and winner Kutlwano Zingitwa.
Ziane van Staden is Miss Alberton Junior 2022 with the first princess being Bronwyn-Lee Peyper.
Judges on the day were Brendan Nel, Faith Gounder, Samishka Govender, Izanri Smit and Katlego Konupi.
