Community invited to Elandshaven clean-up
The community is invited to join in cleaning the servitudes and field in Elandshaven on December 17.
If the servitudes in Elandshaven are an eyesore, a health- and fire hazard or a safety hazard for you, join community members in a clean-up on December 17.
The clean-up will include litter picking, grass cutting, bush trimming and a pavement clean-up in the servitude in Algoa Bay Street, servitudes in Sandwich Bay Street as well as in Pretorius Street.
“If there is time, we will attend to the big open part of the field to clean the pavement of overgrown grass and overgrown bushes.
“Volunteers, donations or equipment to assist with this project will be greatly appreciated. Should you wish to assist, please consider donating toward the hire of equipment and garden services or volunteering your time toward helping on the day or lending equipment to get the job done,” explained Joeleen Smit of Ward 37.
They will gather in Bonza Bay Street, next to Rocky Ridge Complex on the morning of the clean-up. This is the main entrance for the open field that allows entries to all of the servitudes.
