Brackendowns CPF partners with Sound and Safe to combat crime
Brackendowns residents are encouraged to subscribe to the newly launched Sound and Safe app to continue fighting crime in the community so as to make a better living environment for everyone.
To make Brackendowns a safer area, the Brackendowns CPF has recently teamed up with Sound & Safe.
The Sound & Safe app enables the user to immediately identify their precise location and specify their emergency needs while alerting the central gate security or a designated first aid representative (for a complex, old age home, business, or school), as well as the person’s next of kin.
According to the director of Sound & Safe, Lorenzo Mugnaioni, they are unmatched in their capacity to provide this feature. This may be easily activated using speech (a specific word or phrase), shake, or swipe, in situations where saving lives promptly is essential for security or medical reasons.
“We also have a ‘come fetch me’ function which identifies a pin location sent solely to the user’s specified personal contact, built into this application.
For those interested in covering the affordable subscription services we are currently linked with the Brackendowns CPF and we will also soon cater for the Moffat View CPF as well as other surrounding areas, with which we have already had discussions.
This will enable coverage within the respective CPF jurisdiction, offering peace of mind for the subscriber, beyond any premises,” said Mugnaioni.
This programme aims to eradicate gender-based violence, eliminate crime in its tracks and make the community a safer and better place to live.
Brackendowns CPF chairperson, Geoff Steyn, said that they have partnered with this entity as CPF because of the willingness to combat crime in the area.
“With the use of this app, all CPF members are immediately alerted that you need assistance, wherever you may be, so that you may receive it quickly. This surely will lessen the rate of crime in our community,” said Geoff.
The subscription fee for this feature is R39 per month and is available to all community members within the designated CPF area.
