Watermelon Day puts a smile on children’s faces
Learners and staff of De Little Stars Daycare and Aftercare cherished everyone’s favourite summer fruit and provided much fun for all at the preschool.
De Little Stars Daycare and Aftercare recently joined in on the fun by celebrating Watermelon Day, which is part of a bigger celebration of National Watermelon Day, usually celebrated on August 3.
On this day, people across the world celebrate the delicious and refreshing fruit that has a long history dating back to Ancient Egypt.
Learners from the New Redruth preschool looked bright and eager to cherish the day and enjoy the highly cultivated fruit.
