WATCH: Homeless man’s body found in Florentia

Alberton SAPS and Ekurhuleni medical emergency services have been called to the scene at Helston Road after a body of a white male in his late 50s was found by SOG Security reaction officers on November 9.

Two homeless males earlier visited the SOG Security offices informing them that there was a body under the bridge on Helston Street.

Officers Giovanni Oortman and Siphiwe Tshabalala then responded to the scene, to find a white male body laying between the trees not far from the river to the river.

Reaction officer Giovanni Oortman said: “We were informed that the deceased was crying out for help in the afternoon. They don’t know what the cause of death is. ”
