Lots of fun at Bracken Family Fun Day

The community came together to celebrate the festive season and make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate.

This years’ Bracken Family Fun Day, hosted by Habibi Properties powered by TAAA in collaboration with Ward 38, took place on December 9 at Jackon Dam, Brackenhurst.

The festivities of the day were filled with joy, laughter and most importantly, a chance to make a positive impact on the community. The excitement in Brackenhurst and Brackendowns was noticeable as residents eagerly anticipated the return of the annual event.

The event started in 2016 with Clr Thavha Maifala-Masebe and the highlight of this year was the charity drive aimed at supporting several worthy organisations, including Dare 2 Care, CPF, SAPS and APN.

Keketso Ntsala and Lehlohonolo Mokoaledi.

The focus of the drive was the collection of pre-loved items, with a special emphasis on boys and baby clothing, toys, books, cutlery, cookery, bedding, blankets, matric dance dresses and suits. The fun day was organised by Nikita and Chantelle Habibi.
