Courtney Stols, the late Charlette’s sister, said they are struggling to find closure as a family.

“We struggle on daily to get answers as a way to find a bit of closure after the loss of our sister. Before the accident, she and her male friend were at Boskantoor Pub on Piet Retief Street in Alberton North.

“They left towards 2nd Avenue heading to Mall at Newmarket to fetch her best friend, Kim Grammer,” explained Courtney.

Charlette Stols’ parents, Deon and Gail Stols, pay tribute to their daughter.

They were travelling on that road at about 18:00 when nine minutes later, the accident happened.

“My beloved sister played a big role in my life and I need to find justice for her, and also for our parents who are struggling to be at ease after the traumatic loss of their daughter. As a community, I believe we can stand together and get more answers that we need,” she said.
