Learner spoils elderly for Mother’s Day
Zanelle Huyzers brought Mother’s Day joy to the Silwerkroon residents.
Zanelle Huyzers from Verwoerdpark, a learner at Hoërskool Alberton, recently spoilt the residents of Silwerkroon with a Mother’s Day surprise.
Zanelle, who had a remarkable 2023 by winning the Best Charity Queen Teen award at the SA Pageants Awards in Sandton, continues to make her community proud. She also earned the title of first princess for Miss Alberton and is an ambassador for Miss Excellency.
Despite her young age, Zanelle has shown a strong commitment to helping others. She created a Mother’s Day hamper and raffled it off to raise money for gifts for the mothers and grandmothers at Silwerkroon.
“I love and respect the elderly, who are often ignored. We celebrated all mothers, and it was an honour to spend the day at Silwerkroon with the residents,” Zanelle said.
Each resident received a small gift, and they thanked Zanelle for her thoughtfulness.
