Ward 38 residents invited to participate in public meeting

Ward 38 Clr Thavha Maifala-Masebe invites residents to be part of a public meeting where he will discuss service delivery and the new budget.

Maifala-Masebe will address the ongoing issues with faulty streetlights, sewer overflows, and road infrastructure and outline what has been done to resolve these problems.

Given that the CoE will be getting ready for the new financial year starting on July 1, the councillor will also outline the steps needed to address the ward’s infrastructure issues.

“An issue that remains a concern is the status of the Brackendowns Police Station. With the council taking long to bring the item to the council, I will give an update on the status of the police station becoming a permanent police station,” he said.

The meeting will be on June 25 and start at 18:30. It will be held via a virtual Zoom platform where residents are encouraged to register using this link, after which every person who registered to attend via zoom will receive the Zoom link to join the meeting.

In reaching more residents, Maifala-Masebe said the meeting will also be streamed live on Facebook on the My Ward 38 Community – Brackenhurst and Brackendowns Facebook Page and cross-published on the Facebook group, Bracken Residents info page.
