Local artist DopeFlop Music is gearing up to release a highly anticipated new single that blends his love for hip-hop with the vibrant sounds of amapiano.

The song, titled Le Numba, inspired by the classic Soweto Inn by The Mover will resonate with hip-hop and amapiano fans.

Joy Mkhwanazi, known as DopeFlop Music, shared a deeply personal connection that inspired the track.

According to the local musician, his late grandmother used to love Soweto Inn, and in a dream, she gave him a close version of the song.

The track carries the sentimental weight of her memory, and the artist has carefully crafted it to reflect his musical versatility, moving from his usual hip-hop style to the trending amapiano sound.

While the artist is known for his talent as a hip-hop singer, he chose to reimagine the iconic track through an amapiano beat.

“I initially wrote it as a hip-hop song but felt an amapiano beat brought out the song’s essence in a new way.
“As a musician, I pride myself on being versatile and experimenting with different genres to create something unique,” he said.

The upcoming release not only reflects his versatility but also bridges two influential genres, honouring the past while contributing to the future of South African music.

The track features artists such as Mzulu Kakhulu and Seezus Beats who share a deep connection to the amapiano genre, further adding to the authenticity and soul of the song.

Together, they brought a fresh twist to the beloved classic, honouring both the music and the memories tied to it.

Fans are excited to see how the artist fuses his hip-hop roots with the upbeat, eagerly awaiting the release of the track, pulsating rhythms of amapiano.

With its heartfelt inspiration and infectious beats, the song is poised to be a hit, appealing to a wide audience and continuing to build the artist’s reputation as a versatile and innovative musician.

The song will be released on November 29.
