The Gideons International visited a school in Alberton to spread the word

The faith group paid a visit to Hoërskool Marais Viljoen High School learners who were gifted with bibles.

The international faith group, the Gideons, recently paid a special visit to learners at Hoërskool Marais Viljoen High School.

The Gideons International is an association of Christians dedicated to telling people about Jesus through service and providing Bibles.

The evangelical Christian association’s visit to the school was specifically aimed at Grade Eight learners who started their new schooling journey in high school and to give them inspiration as they kick start their new school journeys.

Learners received Bibles to carry as your own.

The learners were addressed on expectations teachers had from them, challenges they may face, and how to overcome those challenges through faith and belief in Jesus.

Learners were gathered at the school’s assembly area for the address, where Bibles were handed out after the speakers had concluded their talks.

“We are grateful for the organisation’s generosity and the significant role they play in shaping young lives. Thank you Gideons, for this contribution to our learners’ spiritual growth,” a statement by Hoërskool Marais Viljoen High School read.
