Siso Duba (10) missing in Sky City – Police appeal for information

A 10-year-old boy from Sky City Ext 9 has been reported missing after he was last seen at his home on July 1. Kliprivier SAPS and the family are appealing to the public for any information on his whereabouts.

Kliprivier SAPS appeal to the public for help in locating 10-year-old Siso Duba, who has been missing from Sky City Ext 9 since July 1.

Siso was last seen at around 10:00 that morning, watching television in the lounge of his home.

According to his older brother, Athanathi Duba, who reported the incident to Kliprivier SAPS, he had left Siso in the lounge and gone to his bedroom. When he returned at approximately 10:30, Siso was no longer there.

Although the house gate was still locked, the family suspects Siso may have jumped over it, something he has reportedly done before. Despite a thorough search of the surrounding area and enquiries with neighbours and friends, no leads have been found.

Siso was last seen wearing a black jersey and red trousers.

The family shared that this is not the first time Siso has gone missing. In a previous incident, he was found three days later at a friend’s house in Palm Ridge after being reported missing at Katlehong SAPS.

Since his disappearance, the family has contacted all known relatives and friends but has yet to receive any information.

The case has also been circulated in local Sky City community groups as both the family and police continue their search.

Anyone with information that may assist in locating Siso is urged to contact Detective Constable Semelani on 083 664 8015 or 011 903 8205.
