Asked what she hopes readers of the book will get out reading her work, she said: “I hope everyone who attended this book tour knows that as they read my book they will realise that there is hope. My book covers a variety of themes, including slavery, rape, being a single mom, brokenness, and living with a child with special needs. I always say to people ‘broken wings can fly again’,” said Petro.
