WATCH: Albertonians’ market day supports each other’s small businesses

The market day saw small business owners from the area gather to attract local shoppers.

Alberton residents hosted a market day to support each other’s small businesses.

Held on Delphinium Street in Brackenhurst, the market saw dozens of small business owners set up their stalls to sell their products. Some sold coffee, cookies, socks, cutlery and other items.

Also at the market was the Alberton Animal Protection Network (APN). It educated small business owners and shoppers about their animal rescue work and how animal lovers could help them with funds to keep the APN running.

APN’s Julian Wilder encouraged Albertonians to call him on 084 706 3268 when they come across animals they might be afraid of, such as snakes and spiders.
