Stepping Stone Hospice to raise awareness at Mall of the South
Meet the Stepping Stone Hospice team and their mascot, Victor, at Mall of the South on October 25 as they raise awareness for quality palliative care and community support.
Stepping Stone Palliative Care Services will host an awareness event at Mall of the South on October 25, from 09:00 to 13:00, to highlight the vital palliative care services they provide to the community.
The COHSASA and five-star APPC-accredited non-profit organisation (NPO) will be stationed at Entrance 6, near Woolworths, where visitors can learn more about the hospice’s work in supporting adults and children facing life-limiting illnesses.
The event aims to raise awareness about palliative care, encourage community support and share information on volunteering opportunities and the organisation’s Brick by Brick campaign for its new 14-bed facility.
Visitors will also meet Victor, the hospice’s much-loved mascot, who will be present throughout the event, distributing pamphlets and engaging with shoppers to help promote the hospice’s mission of compassionate care.
Stepping Stone Hospice will have a donation box available for those wishing to contribute towards their ongoing services.
The organisation expressed its appreciation to Mall of the South for providing the space to host this important community engagement initiative.
