Community comes together for festive celebration in Mayberry Park

A festive community event in Mayberry Park saw children enjoy Santa, sweet treats and Christmas cheer as Brackendowns CPF and local partners came together to spread joy.

A heartwarming festive celebration brought smiles, laughter, and Christmas cheer to Mayberry Park, as various community organisations and residents came together to create a memorable event for the children.

The celebration took place on December 20 at 22 Yellowood Street, the only house in the area decorated with Christmas lights, drawing families and children from the surrounding community.

The home belongs to Brendon Fourie, who opened his property to host the festive gathering.

“All the parties involved really came together to make this event special.

“The event was amazing, and it was wonderful to see the kids enjoying themselves and the community united,” Fourie said.

Among the organisations involved was Brackendowns CPF, with Stephen from CPS arranging two patrol vehicles to attend and ensure visibility and safety.

Support was also provided by As Automotive Solutions, Natasha Lombard from Country Wide Medals, and several other community members who contributed their time and resources.

The highlight of the day was Santa Claus, who delighted the children as they received popcorn and sweets.

The festive treats, combined with music, decorations, and community spirit, ensured that all the children had a great time.

The event not only created a joyful Christmas experience for the kids but also showcased the strength of collaboration within the Mayberry Park community, reinforcing the importance of unity, safety, and giving during the festive season.
