City of Ekurhuleni urges Alberton residents to apply safely and avoid job scams

With more fake job ads circulating online, the City of Ekurhuleni reminds residents that all municipal vacancies are processed through its official e-Recruitment portal. Applicants are urged to verify opportunities and never pay fees.

The City of Ekurhuleni is calling on residents to explore career opportunities in local government while staying vigilant against job scams.

All legitimate municipal vacancies are listed on the official e-Recruitment portal at Career Opportunities in the City.

City officials warn that scammers are increasingly targeting job seekers on social media platforms.

They emphasise that applying for City positions is completely free. Applicants should never pay a placement or processing fee, and official applications will not be accepted via WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, or email unless clearly stated in a verified advert.

Residents unsure about the authenticity of a job listing are encouraged to check the City’s official website at www.ekurhuleni.gov.za

By using only official channels, applicants can ensure their personal information remains safe and their career aspirations are protected.
