By combining Nerd Day with Easter, the school created a balance between fun and values-based learning.

Each learner contributed a fee of R45, which helped fund Easter activities, including the egg hunt, and also supported the school’s broader development goals.

These include improving academic resources, such as science lab equipment, and introducing coding and robotics programmes.

A portion of the funds will also go towards minor maintenance projects within the school.

Other activities throughout the day included an exciting Easter egg hunt and a special visit from the Easter Bunny, as well as mathematics activities and challenges, and games and interactive activities promoting teamwork and participation.

All of these allowed learners the opportunity to socialise and collaborate

“At Alberton Stars Private School, we believe in creating a learning environment where children feel confident, inspired, and excited about education. Initiatives like Nerd Day encourage learners to embrace who they are, while also developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a fun way,” said Mrs Lenda Sibanyoni-Muzei , the executive director.

She added that the school remains committed to holistic education, ensuring that learners grow both academically and socially.
