WATCH: Brackendowns SAPS spread Easter joy to families in Thinasonke

Brackendowns SAPS and community partners bring Easter cheer to Thinasonke families through meaningful donations.

Residents of Thinasonke were treated to a heart-warming act of kindness when members of Brackendowns SAPS joined hands with community stakeholders to give back ahead of Easter.

The outreach took place on April 1, led by Constable Bizwapi and Warrant Officer Nkosi, under the guidance of station commander Colonel Van der Westhuizen.

Working alongside community partners, including Heal Better, CPF and Armcare, the team visited several daycares to donate essential items for young children.

The beneficiaries included Daphney Daycare, Thinasonke Daycare, Refiloe Daycare and Incredible Daycare, where donations of nappies, baby bottles, baby rattles and instant porridge were handed over.

The team also extended their visit to a mobile clinic operating in Thinasonke, where more donations were distributed to babies and caregivers receiving medical services.

Constable Sakhe Bizwapi, social crime prevention co-ordinator at Brackendowns SAPS, said the initiative aimed to uplit vulnerable families in the community.

“Our goal is to spread love and support to the community, especially during a time like Easter when compassion and giving are so important.

“Through partnerships with organisations like Heal Better and others, we are able to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children and their families,” said Bizwapi.
