Alberton Stars Private School honours excellence and leadership

Alberton Stars Private School celebrated top achiever learners and introduced new student leaders, showing the importance of hard work.

Alberton Stars Private School hosted its Leadership and Academic Awards Ceremony on April 28, celebrating the hard work and achievements of its learners.

The event recognised the top five learners in each class from Grade R to Grade Eight for their academic excellence, dedication and discipline during the first term.

The school also appointed the Learner Representative Council, including head boy Lethabo Setshedi and head girl Keamohotse Seroka, who will lead and speak on behalf of the learners and prefects.

The prefects are Vanesa Pasviki, Lelam Nqandela, Lubanzi Mayisela, Lehlohonolo Segonyane, Lesego Sekhula and Donald Ajoja.

Ann Maxiniva, the school’s principal, also spoke about the importance of leadership. “Leadership is not just about having a title but about taking responsibility, setting a positive example and guiding others to do their best both in and outside the classroom,” she said.

Lenda Muzei, executive director, said the ceremony shows the school’s commitment to motivating learners to always aim higher and improve. She encouraged all learners to continue working hard and striving for success.

The event also recognised the important roles of parents and educators. Their support, guidance, and encouragement continue to make a big difference in learners’ success.

After the ceremony, the school hosted a special breakfast for LRC members and their parents.
