After years of anticipation, renowned gospel minister Dr Maureen Tsotetsi-Mbodi is set to release a powerful new album, led by her uplifting single Ntate Ke Ya Leboha / Thank You Lord, promising a deeply worshipful experience rooted in gratitude, faith, and divine inspiration.
Renowned gospel artist, preacher and broadcaster Dr Maureen Tsotetsi-Mbodi, affectionately known as Sister Blaze or Pastor Blaze, is preparing to bless audiences once again with the release of a brand-new.
The album marks her long-awaited return to the recording scene since her successful 2017 release, Sisterblaze Sings a New Song.
The previous album enjoyed strong support in churches and among gospel music lovers, further cementing Sister Blaze’s reputation as one of South Africa’s enduring gospel voices.
Dubbed the ‘Princess of Gospel Music’ by Thandi Magazine, Sister Blaze has remained a beloved figure in Christian circles for decades.
Many first came to know her through the powerful songs Glory Glory and What A Mighty God We Serve in 1993 songs she says God used mightily to heal and restore lives.
“The testimonies were unbelievable, yet true,” she reflected.
Now, the celebrated gospel minister is ushering listeners into a new season of worship with her latest single, Ntate Ke Ya Leboha / Thank You Lord, a heartfelt song inspired by God’s faithfulness during a season of deep prayer. The album will be released on May 25.
“The single was inspired by the Lord’s faithfulness and a season of deep prayer,” said Sister Blaze.
The song carries a powerful message of gratitude and trust in God, even during uncertain times.
Blending languages and cultures through worship, Ntate Ke Ya Leboha invites listeners into what Sister Blaze describes as a moment of worship and thanksgiving.
“The song is a powerful expression of gratitude for God’s unwavering faithfulness, even when life feels uncertain,” she explained.
Fans can expect an uplifting and deeply spiritual experience, with an anointed sing-along chorus designed for both personal devotion and congregational worship.
“Ntate Ke Ya Leboha bridges cultures and invites listeners into worship and thanksgiving”, she added.
With a ministry and music career spanning more than three decades, Sister Blaze continues to inspire through her unwavering faith, powerful vocals and commitment to spreading hope through gospel music.
Born in Frankfort in the Free State, the youngest of six siblings discovered her musical gift at the age of three.
From her first public performance as a child to sharing stages with international evangelist Reinhard Bonnke, Joyous Celebration, Benjamin Dube and the late Andraé Crouch, Sister Blaze’s journey has been one of resilience, faith and purpose.
Beyond music, she is also known for her work as a pastor, motivational speaker, community worker and radio presenter.
Through her Love Revolution Project, she continues to feed the hungry, clothe the needy and minister in schools, prisons, clinics and communities across the country.
In 2021, she was honoured with an honorary Doctorate in Theology in recognition of her contribution to ministry, broadcasting and community upliftment.
As anticipation builds around her upcoming album, Sister Blaze says her mission remains unchanged to use music as a tool to heal, inspire and bring people closer to God.
“I believe music has the power to heal, unite and inspire,” she said. “I am determined to use my gift to make a positive impact on the world.”
