Door-to-door awareness campaign brings police and residents together in Kliprivier

Kliprivier SAPS visited the Pills Farm informal settlement to conduct a door-to-door crime awareness campaign aimed at strengthening community relations and promoting safer neighbourhoods

The SAPS, through Kliprivier SAPS, continues to prioritise community engagement through outreach programmes aimed at building safer neighbourhoods and improving police public relations.

During the visit to Pills Farm informal settlement, officers interacted directly with residents, distributed crime-prevention pamphlets, and shared important information on how community members can protect themselves against criminal activity.

The campaign forms part of the station’s ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships between police and the community by encouraging open communication, awareness, and active participation in fighting crime.

Residents welcomed the initiative and appreciated the opportunity to engage with police officers on matters affecting their community.

Community members were also encouraged to report suspicious activities and work closely with law enforcement to help create a safer environment for everyone.
