Kliprivier police help homeless man during winter cold

A homeless man sleeping outdoors received assistance from Kliprivier SAPS after approaching the police station for help with a mattress and blankets amid freezing winter conditions.

Kliprivier SAPS recently went beyond their law enforcement duties by helping a homeless man in need during the current cold weather conditions.

According to Colonel Nompumelelo Mirriam Dlamini, the man approached Kliprivier Police Station on June 15 seeking assistance with a mattress and blankets. He explained that he was sleeping outdoors and needed protection from the cold.

VisPol Commander Captain Makhete attended to the man and provided him with a mattress.

She also committed to providing further assistance throughout the week.

The gesture demonstrates the spirit of Batho Pele and highlights the role police officers play in supporting vulnerable members of the community.

Kliprivier SAPS reaffirmed its dedication to serving and protecting all members of the community, including the most vulnerable.
