Hoërskool Marais Viljoen High School learners gain life-saving skills
Sixteen senior learners from Hoërskool Marais Viljoen High School have successfully completed their Level 1 First Aid training, equipping themselves with valuable life-saving skills and demonstrating leadership beyond the classroom.
Hoërskool Marais Viljoen High School is celebrating the achievement of 16 senior learners who have successfully completed their Level 1 First Aid training.
According to a statement released by the school, the learners have “chosen to expand their knowledge beyond the classroom walls” by taking part in the training, gaining skills that could help others in times of need.
The school praised the group for equipping themselves with “valuable life-saving skills,” adding that they “have not only enriched their own lives but also strengthened their ability to help others in times of need.”
The accomplishment also reflects the learners’ dedication to personal growth and community leadership.
“This achievement reflects their commitment, responsibility, and willingness to grow as leaders in our community,” the school said.
Quoting the well-known saying, the school added: “Knowledge is power” and noted that the learners “have taken an important step in using that power to make a real difference.”
The following learners completed the Level 1 First Aid training: Reneilwe Mashapa, Osego Makhubela, Karlee Kriel, Ziandrie Ferreira, Nadia Madzokere, Lorrane Muabsa, Madison van Schalkwyk, Keanu Dippenaar, Mieke Lok, Angelique Branders, Verouska Wessels, Amelié Kritzinger, Alyssa Basson, Dangelo Dickson, Kiana Dreyer and Clarice van Niekerk.
Congratulating the group, the school described the learners as “an inspiration” and commended them for taking a meaningful step towards making a positive difference in their community.
