100-chair donation brings comfort and hope to Ligstad community
The 100-chair donation will provide comfortable seating for children, senior citizens and community members taking part in Ligstad's education, skills development and outreach programmes.
A generous act of kindness by Nico Grobler and his team at The New Market Motor Co has made a meaningful difference at Ligstad through the donation of 100 brand-new chairs.
While they may seem like simple items, these chairs will have a lasting impact on the hundreds of children, senior citizens and community members who benefit from Ligstad’s programmes each year.
The chairs are already in daily use during Ligstad’s preschool and after-school programmes, skills training, senior citizen ministry and community outreach initiatives serving underprivileged families.
They provide children with a comfortable place to learn and complete homework, offer dignity and comfort to the elderly, and help create a welcoming environment for training, fellowship and community activities.
For many years, Ligstad has been committed to supporting vulnerable members of the Alberton community.
As a non-profit organisation, it relies on the generosity of businesses and individuals to continue this important work.
