Stepping Stone Hospice seeks helium sponsorship for Annual Memorial Day

Stepping Stone Hospice is calling on businesses and community members to help make its upcoming Annual Memorial Day a meaningful tribute to loved ones who have passed away.

Stepping Stone Hospice’s Annual Memorial Day will take place on October 4 at 12:00 at the inpatient unit (IPU) in New Market, Alberton.

The annual gathering allows families, friends and community members to remember those they have lost while offering one another comfort and support.

Attendees will have the opportunity to release biodegradable balloons filled with plant seeds.

The initiative aims to symbolise remembrance while allowing new life and colour to grow wherever the balloons land.

Guests will also be invited to light candles in memory of loved ones, creating a reflective and healing atmosphere during the event.

Stepping Stone Hospice is currently seeking a donation or sponsorship of helium to help fill the biodegradable memorial balloons.

Businesses or individuals who are able to assist with helium sponsorship or donations are encouraged to support the hospice in making the memorial possible.

Balloons, candles, food and beverages will be available for purchase on the day.

Secure parking will be available for guests.
